Assists with day-to-day activities required in areas of planning, preparation, and delivery of financial, clinical and business analysis for the health system. Maintains the development and support of data extractions for internal and external use and analytics for sound decision-making. Builds Structured Query Language (SQL) queries and functions, for query design, extraction, formatting, analyzing, and reporting of data. Designs and generates statistical and summary reports. Establishes and produces standard and ad hoc reports. Coordinates data management activities and maintains data in computerized databases. Develops plans and solutions that promote an environment of effective decision making for sound business practices. Creates internal support modules, database designs, and applications based on the business needs. Reviews and evaluates project requests, determines appropriate approach, and coordinates completion of project work and schedules. Ensures integrity of financial data for the decision support and cost accounting system, and maintains cost standards at the charge item level. Reviews and ensures the accuracy of analysis, reports, and projects related to measuring the health system's financial and operational performance. Provides support to all levels of management, as well as end users, in reviewing, understanding, and analyzing financial and clinical data. Conducts research for assigned projects and summarizes findings. Identifies, develops, and implements methods for improving reporting efficiency. Works to standardize decision support functions, including financial analysis and service line profitability analysis. Integrates clinical and financial data for critical decision making by hospital leadership maintaining a strong relationship and network with Managers and Directors throughout the hospital through excellent customer service.
