Deborah Gulledge

Majored in Astronomy
Georgia State University, Class of 2022
From Atlanta, GA
I am a first year Astronomy PhD student at Georgia State University. My focus is on seismology of the giant planets, with a previous research background in white dwarfs, spectroscopy, data analysis, and large scale surveys. I previously interned for two and a half years at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory with the calibrations team for the Dark Energy Survey, performing reductions and analysis of spectra of white dwarf stars, along with synthetic photometry and modeling of these stars. This work is critical to set the zero point calibrations for the DES. At my undergraduate institution, Austin Peay State University, I acted as the Director of Chapter Relations for Del Square Psi, our local SPS chapter, for the past two years.
