Haley Holmes

Majored in Biology
Miami University , Class of 2023
From San Diego, CA
I am a southern California native who has always been passionate about wildlife and nature conservation. Growing up, my inspiration stemmed from visiting the San Diego Zoo at any opportunity and watching conservationists like Jeff Corwin and Steve Irwin on Animal Planet. I decided that wildlife conservation was my calling, and decided to pursue an education at Washington State University after high school. There, I majored in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation and minored in Forestry, ultimately obtaining a B.S. in Earth & Environmental Sciences. I am currently enrolled in Miami University's Project Dragonfly master's program, where I am pursuing a M.A. in Biology through their Global Field Program. While I am just beginning my master's degree journey, I am excited to be learning and working with other inspired individuals who are similarly driven and I am looking forward to the exciting opportunities this program will bring.
