My name is Haley Halter and I am from Upstate New York. I am currently a freshman student at the University of Dayton and I am currently working towards a degree in accountancy through the school of business. I studied one semester a Arizona State University studying Accounting at the W. P. Carey School of business. A long term goal I have is to attend law school and obtain my CPA. I hope to work in a big city one day chasing my dreams of working up in a company.
Some of my skills include leadership, organized, personable, great work ethic, honesty and hard working. My senior year of high school I applied for a leadership seminar semester long class that had us work within groups researching a specific policy. After becoming an expert on our topic and over five months of research, my group and I traveled to Washington D.C for meetings. During our meeting we spoke with government officials in the Senate, House of Representatives, USCIS, and ICE. Also my senior year I participated in a student program internship and worked directly with Pricewater Coopers Accounting company. I spent the summer before my senior year as an exchange student and volunteer in Peru. In Peru we volunteered, traveled, and interacted with the local community. I have spent a significant amount of time in my life traveling. I have traveled domestically and internationally. I have traveled all over Europe and the Caribbean. In the future I hope to study abroad in Spain or Australia. I worked at Sonnys Landing in Penfield, New York which is a catering company. Also I have worked in retail for over two years at Justice. The skills I acquired from my jobs is time management, responsibility, and how to work in with a group.
In high school I was the Chapter President of DECA, member of Leo volunteer club, captain of lacrosse, and ran track. I am apart of Kappa Alpha Theta at Arizona State University and I getting involved through my sorority.
