Track

I have been able to run track for Wisconsin Lutheran college for two years now. Although, I run many different long distance events, I primarily focus on the 1500 and 5k. I have been blessed to have successful seasons and also been able to enjoy using my talents to glorify God.I hope to continue to run track all four years.

Cross Country (Women's)

Cross Country at WLC has been great. I have made some close friends and cherish the moments on and off the course. We spent many hours running in Milwaukee and many meals together after meets. The cross country team has become like my family away from home. I also have a great coach who keeps us focus and doing our best but also serving Christ and having fun.

Work Experience

Job Coach and Daily Living Assistant at Ron and Alexis Malloy

I work for Alexis Malloy who has Down Syndrome. I help her shop for food every week and assist her in making healthy and practical choices. I also take extra care to make sure all her food is gluten free. In addition, I also help her and her friend Sara at their job at Certa Pro. I assist her in tasks such as filling folders and vacuuming. I enjoy this job because they are always cheerful and so happy to see people. I have also learned how small the differences are compared to the similarities are of those with special needs.

Daily Living Assitant at Hannah Rahmanpanah

In addition, I also work with Hannah who also has Down Syndrome. Hannah and I exercise together at the YMCA. We set goals such as walking a mile on the track and include exercises such as doing step ups together while listening to music. Hannah is always a joy to work with and makes my job fun.

Sales and Field Work at Simon's Gardens

In my first job at Simon's Garden's I worked both at markets and in the fields. At markets I sold flowers and produce. I learned to work with people and count change in my head since we did not use a cash register. In the fields, I learned the meaning of hard work where I hoed, weeded, planted, and picked plants. The many hot hours in the sun helps me appreciate the food we buy at the store and learn the value of my money.
