I received my certification of completion in the career program, Cosmetology. As a class, we went to the State Board of Cosmetology to take our licensure test. I became a licensed cosmetologist at the same time as my high school graduation.

I was recommended by my career center counselor, Dr. Wilson, to apply for this opportunity since he thought I would be a good candidate. This was 2-3 weeks long of learning about leadership and meeting new people. I was able to improve on my fear of public speaking and everyone was so supportive.
