Josefine Hederoth

What interested me the most in getting into marketing was the process of engaging consumers and reaching out to people through different types of media as well as face-to-face. Currently Im working at the Information Center at my University, which has definitely helped me develop customer service skills as well as social skills by always having a positive attitude and a friendly approach. My favorite part of doing this type of job is working with people and being to help, even if its something fairly small. Some of my interests are art, movies and working out (yoga, running, hiking). To keep art in my life with a busy schedule I volunteered at Santa Barbara Museum of Art for about three years, which was a great experience because it showed me different aspects (funding, promotion, member relations) of how a non-profit organization is run. In the future I would love to work in a social environment and learn more about how to connect consumers with businesses using social and other digital media. A marketing internship would be beneficial to me to get a more hands on experience and understand the challenges better as well as how to take a unique approach in engaging customers.
