Hnin Thazin Htwe is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration and Policy, specializing in Public Policy, at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy in Albany. Born in Myanmar, a nation dealing with prolonged conflicts, Hnin brings a wealth of experience as a humanitarian and community development professional. She dedicated the last eight years to serving conflict-affected populations and underserved communities in Myanmar. Hnin made significant contributions to the work of several civil society organizations ranging from faith-based to other non-governmental and international entities, including the United Nations. She made meaningful contributions to various humanitarian efforts that advanced the welfare of vulnerable communities and conflicted affected populations, including women and migrants, and strengthened the capacity of the systems that served them. She completed an internship at the New York State Office for New American, where she contributed to programs designed to remove barriers hindering new Americans from accessing developmental disability services.Hnin's academic journey includes completing a master's degree in Peace Studies from the Myanmar Institute of Theology-MIT, and a bachelor's degree in English from Yangon University of Distance Education.
