Hizamar Ponce

Majoring in Biomedical Science
Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Class of 2020
From Levittown, PA
I am Mexican-American, born and raised in New York City, the oldest of four siblings, and a first-generation college graduate student. I am very passionate about becoming a Physician Assistant at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am the leader of the youth prayer group, the Rockys, part of a charismatic Catholic community Koinonia John the Baptist, in Brooklyn, New York. I like to clean, organize, and do chores. I find myself being very passionate and willing to go the extra mile for any family member or friend who needs my help. During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and my boyfriend, and above all, I love to pray and spend intimate time with Jesus.
