Peer Coach at Morehead State University
A student peer coach plays a vital role in the Academic Recovery Program by working one-on-one with students to aid in disseminating information pertinent to the program and helping participants (students) stay on task with program requirements and classroom obligations. The peer coach serves as a liaison between professional staff, who provide intrusive academic advising/counseling, and the student. The role of the peer coach is not to take the place of the professional staff but to serve as an additional facilitator for keeping the student on track and connected to campus resources.
