Ilanna Fricks

I am a current senior at Colby College majoring in Economics with a concentration in Financial Markets and a minor in Environmental Studies. I am passionate about environmental issues and closely follow changes in financial markets and the global economy. I am especially interested in the connection between economic and environmental fields. My passion for entrepreneurship was sparked after working for an accelerator program with early stage startups. My short-term goal is to work in Business Development and help a young company grow exponentially. One of my long-term goals is to start my own business. I have strong critical thinking and analytical skills enabling me to interpret complex information such as numerical datasets. My liberal arts education has provided me with a wide variety of coursework including economic theory and statistical topics. Through this I have gained experience with a variety of computer programs and the ability to pick up new programs quickly. My solid work ethic and enthusiasm to learn new things contributes to my constant motivation to succeed in both the classroom and workplace.
