Hi! My name is Jacie Rueter, and I am currently a freshman at Augustana University. I have enjoyed my first year of college so far. I have been challenged in my academics, been involved in choir, been involved on dance team, and have met some people that I am sure I will have long lasting friendships with. Some of my hobbies are swimming, camping, jetskiing, snowskiing, babysitting, and hanging out with family and friends.

Work Experience

Cashier, Bagger, Stock Shelves, etc. at Fareway Food Stores

I work at Fareway in Spirit Lake, IA. I check people's items out, bag their items, and help stock the shelves when it is needed. There are a lot of things you have to be able to do, such as know the number for this item of fruit, know how to ring up a bag of ice, work the cash register, etc. My favorite part about this job is being friendly to customers and talking to them. I am a people person, so doing this is very enjoyable for me!

Lifeguard and WSI Instructor at City of Lake Park

I am a Lifeguard and WSI (Water Safety Instructor) at the Lake Park Swimming Pool. This pool is open during the summer. While I am lifeguarding, I make sure children and adults are safe in the water. I also sell items in the concession stand, such as candy, bottled water, and pool toys to the customers.
