GRAMOLA's mission:
An Austrian offshoot of the British-Czech record producer of the same name, GRAMOLA was founded in Vienna in 1924 and has become active in all areas of classical music. We initially focused on the great composers of Viennese classical music such as Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert, but have since shifted our focus to CD production and the promotion of young Austrian musicians, or musicians currently living in Austria. With currently up to 70 new releases annually, predominantly of Austrian artists, we are the biggest classical music label in the country.
We also collaborate with exil.arte and EntArteOpera, which are organizations dedicated to the reception, research, and preservation of works by Austrian composers and musicologists who were ostracized, exiled, or murdered during National Socialism.
