I am currently an ESL Teacher (English as a Second Language) for Ingles Superior in Cusco, Peru. I was a 7th Grade ESL educator for Cleveland Middle School during the 2018-2019 school year. Bringing my passion for self-awareness and yoga with me to education, I incorporate mindfulness techniques, meditation, and yoga into my classroom activities for "break breaks". An emphasis on real-world applications of the material and soft skills development is important in my lesson planning. As I gain experience through classroom management and familiarize myself with this age group, I will reflect on these experiences in a psychological and behavioral context, assessing a career as a school counselor or continuing to teach ESL throughout Latin America

I studied abroad in Barranquilla, Colombia, for six weeks through an exchange program with Schreiner University. I took two courses completely in Spanish as well as job shadowed for five hour a week at a local company (Metal and Service Supply Ltd.).
