Report to directors and managing executives at AT&T Labs for R&D activities surrounding Data Science & Business Intelligence. Projects involved in during the course of the years include designing, developing, deploying and managing: A Prototyping platform to support software solutions within a scalable and distributed architecture for high volume data storage, analysis, and application development within a Hadoop framework. This involved migrating structured and unstructured data from Oracle RDBMS and files to HDFS using Sqoop, creating and managing tables in Hive and Pig, accessing multiple Hortonworks and Cloudera clusters across the Research Labs within a private cloud, and using tools such as Python, Java, Pentaho, Platfora, Tableau, Continuuity & Oracle IR to query, integrate, explore, analyze and report on this data via ODBC & JDBC. A scalable reporting platform to study Customer Behavior. The platform integrated several data sources focusing on Order Processing across products by Zones over time. It was designed to provide web based data filtering and charting along with drilldowns, exports, data monitoring, notification & alerting while integrating with OLAP & Geographic mapping A web service architecture to support BI across a multi-disciplinary, matrix management organization. This effort required the sharing of in-depth analysis of information, data staging, data modeling, report automation, invoking new methodologies from data mining, designing new data views/schemas, deploying dynamic business processes, monitoring rules-based processes and producing executive dashboards.
