Undergraduate Physics Researcher at Youngstown State University

I am currently engaged in research at Youngstown State University developing thin films. To fabricate the thin films, I use sputter deposition in an ultra-high vacuum environment. I often work with various chemicals to clean the thin films for data analysis, to verify that there is no dust on the thin films. When the films are complete, I utilize atomic force microscopy and other analysis techniques to analyze the films to determine the different properties.
