James Gangavarapu

Senior at Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA, USA) pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, concentrating in software systems along with a minor Math. Currently pursuing undergraduate research in Brain Signal Processing (Brain Computer Interface) under the guidance of Dr. Ashwin Ashok at GSU. Also, I am the Web Master at the ACM GSU chapter and the Lead Full Stack Web Developer in the Computer Science Club at GSU. My Academic areas of interests include Computer Science, Math Statistics, and Economics. I have extensive computer science and quantitative reasoning skills. I have a strong track record of successful teamwork and object oriented programming especially Java. My proficiency in three languages (English, Hindi, and Telugu) and a multi-cultural upbringing have enabled me to work across cultures, in teams, and with highly opinioned people. I am presently investing time in learning Machine Learning and Data Analytics. Im enrolled in Database Systems, Web Development, Machine Learning and Mobile App Development for Fall 2017, my last semester before graduation. Also, I have completed Data Science and Management internship this July under Prof. Sameer Marthur (IIM-Lucknow). Through these courses and the Data Science internship, I intend to further improve my skills in these fields.
