Julia Smith

From the home of the Motorcity, Motown, and five great lakes, I am Julia Smith. I am very fortunate to be able to attend the University of Alabama on a Full Tuition academic scholarship from the Miss America Organization. With this opportunity, I would love to use my positive morale, communication skills, discipline, and determination to achieve as many opportunities I can obtain to help achieve my goal of becoming a name in the News Media business. Being apart of an All-Star competitive dance team since the age of five, competing at USASF Dance Worlds, and obtaining three gold medals has shaped me to be the person I am today. I also like to spend my free time participating in my sister events with my sorority house, Gamma Phi Beta, Promote my favorite nonprofit organization, Children's Miracle Network, Through being on the Morale team. At home, I am a choreographer and coach at Dancers Edge Studio, choreographer for the All Girls Matter Pageant for special needs, and promote my healthy lifestyle platform, "Ditch The Scale" empowering women to earn their body through a healthy lifestyle rather dieting.
