June, 19 2017 - Lycoming CollegeAs an Economics tutor, I help students with their homework and assignments and resolve any question or concern that they have with the subject. At the company, I conducted several research projects on stocks, mutual funds, and bonds that provided the CEO/Financial advisor, Mr Jim Moff, with enough information to better assist and advise clients on which investment strategies to adopt in order to reach their financial goals. Prior to my arrival, this type of project was not carried out at the company, and when I presented my first project to Mr Jim, he found it very helpful and asked me to do more of them throughout my internship. During my time there, I also assembled client investment kits, ran client hypotheticals and financial profiles and assisted with mailings and file organization.
As a Resident Assistant, I oversee a residence hall of 30 upperclassmen students to promote a positive living and studying environment. In this position, I counsel residents in resolving personal, academic, and social issues as well as positively enforced the colleges Code of conduct and other legal requirements through confrontation and monthly programs.
During my time as an S.O.S Leader, I helped promote a welcoming atmosphere of appreciation of diversity and inclusion of all students by positively engaging students and their families into conversations and activities. I also provided guidance and assistance for over 100 students throughout all Orientation sessions and participated in departmental presentations to share personal insights and experiences that are informational and helpful for new students.
