College Republicans was founded by the American Republican College League on May 17, 1892 at the University of Michigan. Today it has over 250,000 participants nation wide. We encourage whomever considers themselves to have conservative values or beliefs (or none at all) to come out and see what we are all about. Our focus is to spread the true meaning of what it is to be a Republican, and we hope to straighten out some misconceptions. We hope to form a community of students who enjoy discussing their political opinions, creating a healthy amount of political awareness on campus.

Founded in 1967, the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is the foremost organization for students interested in public relations and communications. We advocate rigorous academic standards for public relations education, the highest ethical principles and diversity in the profession.

One of the nations most distinctive interdisciplinary academic honor societies, Alpha Chi is a nonprofit, ACHS-certified honors organization that has been recognizing exemplary students for 100 years and is reserved for only the top 10% of our upper-level students that exhibit and display outstanding academic performance.

As the American political climate continues to grow intensely polarizing, divisive, and partisan, the need to come together around what unites us has never been greater. In a time of political unrest, social justice movements, and constant exposure to troubling news, many of us desire to do something about the world around us yet feel ill-equipped to affect positive change. The Civic Engagement and Advocacy Club is a student led response to both of these realities. The mission of the Civic Engagement and Advocacy Club is to bring Belmont students together around a shared sense of responsibility to seek the wellbeing of our neighbors near and far, and to inspire and empower us to be catalysts of positive change. These goals are met through discussing real-world issues that impact our communities, educating ourselves on how systems function in relation to these issues and how we can effectively influence change, and by planning opportunities to engage with the broader Belmont and Nashville communities to put what we learn into practice.

The National Political Science Honor Society: Founded in 1920, Pi Sigma Alpha's purpose is to stimulate productive scholarship and intelligent interest in the subject of government. To accomplish this, it promotes research, good teaching, publication, and the exchange of learning and thought. Today, Pi Sigma Alpha hosts chapters on nearly 850 campuses and has inducted more than 300,000 members. Its rolls feature national, state, and local political leaders including one president, three Supreme Court justices, and dozens of members of Congress.
