From Gainesville, Florida
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Florida participating in the Combined Degree BS/MS Health Education Program, specializing in health studies. I will be graduating with my Masters of Science in Health Education in April of 2019, after completing my full-time internship at the UF Health Fitness and Wellness Center. Once obtaining my Masters of Science of Health Education in the spring of 2019, I plan on applying to physician assistant programs to reach my ultimate career goal of being a physician assistant, specializing in pediatrics.
The combination of a medical background from my Patient Care Assistant position at UF Health Shands and health education knowledge from my academic classes at the University of Florida, involvement with Eta Sigma Gamma and volunteer experience with the School Health Interdisciplinary Program, will allow me to better my career in healthcare utilizing health eduction principles.
