I am a first-year student at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I intend on majoring in Psychology, and minoring in Public Health. In addition, I am studying Education on the Pre K-4 track. While immersed in my academics, I am also a varsity athlete year-round in the cross country and track program. I love getting involved in clubs whenever I can, my most impactful club being America Reads. Every week with America Reads, I visit the Hays School in Allentown to work with kids on reading and math. Outside of my school activities, I am a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line and a babysitter for families in my hometown area. Before college, and now during college breaks, I operate The Brightness Project, which is my own mental health community outreach initiative. I hope to successfully complete my psychology-centered undergraduate education, and then advance to graduate education to earn my Master's in School Counseling to become a school psychologist or school counselor. I am committed to making a difference regarding mental health and education in my community, as exemplified by my work as the founder of The Brightness Project, as a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line, as a member of the Education Society, America Reads, and former President of Partners in After School Recreation for Special Needs Students (PAIRS Club). My interests in education and psychology fused together with my involvement in schools has led me to the conclusion that being a school psychologist or school counselor is the career for me.
