From North Chili, NY
I am a new graduate from the GRC MSW program at the college of Brockport/Nazareth. I am planning after graduate school this spring to start the Phd program in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2017.
I am driven to form trusting relationships with clients and advocate for their best interests. I am a Social Worker student successful at implementing a clinical approach to patient care. I am able to remove from potential personal biases to help each patient in an objective and logical way. I have experience with working effectively with patients and families experiencing medical crises, acting as an advocate and guide as they navigate difficult and emotionally-draining situations.
I possess a Bachelors in Science Degree in social work and a minor in African American Studies from Suny Brockport University in the state of New York. My educational background has prepared me for varies roles. In particular, my study of families and mental health has given me a solid background so that I can perform as a Social Worker. I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and up-to-date skills. I am certain that I will give you a greater understanding of my qualifications for this exciting opportunity.
In addition I have extensive experience in the health care field and hold an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. I have worked within a variety of settings with diverse individuals providing me with a valuable amount of experiences.
