Jennifer Hanson

I am a 2016 graduate of the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. I received a B.B.A. in Marketing and a Leadership Certificate. I am interested in many different areas for employment including Marketing, Advertising, Event Planning, Hospitality, Customer Service, Retail/Merchandising, Sales, Public Relations, Human Resources, Recruiting, Social Media & Digital Marketing. My top five strengths from the StrengthsFinder Assessment are: Positivity, Includer, W.O.O., Developer, & Restorative. I utilize my strengths of W.O.O. and Positivity to provide a high standard of customer service while serving and bartending the past four years at several establishments including Bo James, Micky's Irish Pub and Fieldhouse Bar. In addition, I have 4 years sales experience working in the retail industry at J. Crew Factory Store and as a College Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual. Being an Includer, I am pleasant to be around and always have a smile on my face. I love meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and going out of my comfort zone. My Junior year, I jumped at the chance to study abroad in Cork, Ireland to focus on International Marketing and History. I utilized my strength of resorative while exploring Europe as it was important to go with the flow since things often did not go to plan while traveling. I further built on my leadership skills and polished my strength of developer specifically while recruiting my team of five Ambassadors to assist me with my duties as the Events and Recruiting Intern at the Career Leadership Academy.
