Jordan Zeigler

My name is Jordan Zeigler, and I am a student hoping to work in politics/government after completing my studies. I am currently studying Political Science at Seton Hall University, and will simultaneously begin my course of study for a Master's of Public Administration degree at Seton Hall in the fall of 2024. This unique 3+2 program will allow me to graduate with a BA in 2025, and an MPA in 2026. I am currently serving as a Councilman in my hometown of Leonia, New Jersey, after taking the oath of office on January 3rd, 2024. I am the youngest elected official in Borough history, working alongside 5 other Councilmembers as well as the Mayor in governing a Borough of 10,000 residents. As the Chair of the Facilities Committee, I aided in the completion and opening of the Borough's new $12 million municipal complex, the first new facilities investment in over 30 years. I am also a Per Diem Employee at the Bergen County Superintendent of Elections/Commissioner of Registration. In this role, I work alongside other staff in the processing voter registrations and managing voting equipment prior to all election days in Bergen's 70 municipalities. On Election Day, I am an on-site troubleshooter, leading staffs of poll workers to ensure a seamless and fair process for all voters. I am a Grassroots Referee for the United States Soccer Federation, working on most weekends in the fall, winter, spring, and summer, to help provide a fun, fair, and safe playing environment for youth and adult soccer players. I am active in my local sporting community, volunteering as a coach and Assistant Club Representative for AYSO United Bergen County. I am always looking to find new opportunities and give my absolute best effort to create a positive environment for all around me.
