Reddit as a Forum for Discussions on Mental Health

• Part of the CAHSI Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program, with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) • Conducted a sentiment analysis and created a topic model using a dataset consisting of approximately 1.2 million posts related to mental health collected from Reddit.com • Identified emotion and topic-based trends in order to discern how the subject of mental health is discussed in online spaces • Language: Python
