Combining the visual arts with math truly leads to great innovation and user-friendly machines or items. To understand how an item can be user-friendly, I have also sought out to complete a minor in psychology. This is a lot of rigorous course work, but I plan on using my time management skills and the fact that I am a determined person to get it all done within four years. These basic skills such as time management, knowing how to prioritize, and public speaking may seem like just general (soft) skills, but they really make or break a person. I have only worked in one field as a part-time employee, but that is because it has taught me these skills, and it is a fast-paced environment where you must think on your feet to please the guest, coworkers, and get the job done in a timely manner. My engineering skills come from the group projects I have done in class and the work I have done on my own. I enjoy building on these skills everyday through work and volunteer experience.
