Jessica Ruge

Jessica Ruge is a biology student at Holyoke Community College. Her main focus is in the physical sciences and some of the courses she has taken and has found most interesting include: microbiology, medical terminology, and genetics. Additionally, Jessica is also driven to understanding systems and anatomy of the body. She also has enjoyed Introduction to Psychology and African American History. Currently she is taking two humanities electives: Introduction to Communication and Introduction to Theater, of which she finds extremely interesting. Jessica strives to do her best in everything she does. In addition to her coursework, Jessica is very involved with ministries at her church, which includes singing, teens ministry, and Sunday school. She loves to help people in any way she can, which led her to study in preparation for a career in the medical field. As she is passionate about all thing medical related, whether it be watching surgeries online, or helping a child who has scraped their knee Jessica cannot wait until she finishes her degree in a medical related career. Jessica has set high standards for herself. She knows she can accomplish a lot if she can put her mind to it. Perhaps she might even become a doctor!
