-Assisting the Office Specialist with Departmental Needs -Copying Materials for Classes -Creating posters and flyers and requesting stamped authorization from Madison Union to be hung in foreign language academic buildings -Updating inventory and ensuring that the copy, fax, and scanning machines are functioning properly -Act as a liaison between the student population and faculty -Answer departmental phone calls and direct patrons to the correct faculty member or academic department -Recording updated textbook information and sending files to the JMU Bookstore for the upcoming semesters -Refresh and organize student queries -Create and send emails to students about class selection and registration, add/drop period, and withdrawing from courses

-Possess an updated American Red Cross Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED and be able to keep a consistent alert on all patrons in the pool -Collect hourly water samples, calculate pool PH and chlorine levels, and log information into company workbook -Administer red, yellow, and green band swim tests for children under the age of 12 who want to enter the pool -Teach swim lessons of various levels from water exploration to stroke refinement -Assist with coaching of the youth swim team
