Majoring in Nursing
Seton Hall University, Class of 2020
From Paramus, NJ
I am an extremely dedicated, self-motivated, driven, energetic and passionate Emergency Medical Services Professional aspiring to become Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics or School Nursing. I also dream of becoming a leader and supervisor in the field of nursing and subspecialty. I stand out from my peers because of my strong work ethic, excellent academic achievement, ambitious personality, and because I am a proactive team player with high leadership potential. I am currently a Certified and Actively Serving Emergency Medical Technician, Lieutenant and Second-in-Command of my Squad, and eagerly seeking my "BS" in Nursing Degree at Seton Hall University's Caroline D. Schwartz College of Nursing. I have further distinguished myself from my peers by seeking out and committing myself to opportunities to lead others, and work with children (a special population). I have also diversified my skills, qualifications, and experience by accepting a part-time uniformed position with my University's Police Department and taking full advantage of the opportunity to explore the emergency services through a different angle for a semester. As the rest of my LinkedIn shall demonstrate, I am a well-qualified, hard-working individual and strong leader who has achieved proven results in my short professional life thus far and anticipate doing even better in the future. In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, friends, co-workers, and ambulance squad, as well as keeping up with my friends through Instagram. I enjoy keeping up with episodes of Chicago Fire and the rest of the Chicago Trilogy. I am an avid world traveler who enjoys exploring new places and cultures, decompressing in nature, and have an insatiable quench for new knowledge in areas of interest. I am an amicable person who enjoys getting to know new people here on LinkedIn. I hope youll send me a request and I will gladly add you back!!! :)

BLS/Ambulance Squad Lieutenant | Junior Operations Officer at Township of Washington Ambulance Corps
After 18 months of very diligent and dedicated hard work and at the age of 19 still, I was recognized by the General Membership of my squad and our Captain for my efforts, my leadership abilities, and my potential with a vote in favor of promotion to the rank of Second Lieutenant in December 2016. My current one year appointment is in effect for January through December 2017, and is once again renewable at the end each term/year. I serve as a Junior Operating Officer of my Corps and in this capacity I am responsible for approximately 20 Regular Serving Members and 30 total personnel of various ages and backgrounds. In this capacity, in addition to my basic responsibilities as a General Member/EMT and as a Crew Chief, I serve as one of two principal assistants/advisors to our Captain, assisting him with various tasks as assigned and acting in his place as necessary. I participate actively and enthusiastically at all Executive Board and General Membership meetings, sharing whatever knowledge and ideas I may have for the benefit of the Corps. I perform various duties as assigned/necessary, and both propose and volunteer to work on various projects to streamline and improve the day-to-day operations of the Corps. I respond as necessary to major incidents to provide additional support/assistance and to serve in various supervisory/command functions. I look forward to using this opportunity to make a positive impact on my squad and the community. I also look forward to using this opportunity to network with other accomplished leaders in my field while fine-tuning my skills and abilities by learning first hand and working directly under the Captain.
January 2017 - Present
Corps Public Affairs Coordinator | Public Information Officer at Township of Washington Ambulance Corps
Worked with several other members of the Corps to successfully propose new strategies for squad’s publicity efforts, including starting a social media presence for the organization, which gained momentum and support from the general membership. Appointed by the Acting President of the Corps to this position as a direct result of my proposals and currently tasked with implementing my proposals along with a partner.
October 2016 - Present
EMT Crew Chief (Shift Supervisor) at Township of Washington Ambulance Corps
Upon my rapid promotion to my current rank (far "below the zone" with only 9 months Time-in-Service), in addition to my basic responsibilities as EMT/Attendant, I may now be tasked with the sole supervision of my ambulance crew consisting of driver, usually 1-2+ EMT/EMR Attendants assisting, and myself during the course of tour-of-duty and while responding to calls for assistance. While performing a response in this capacity, I am solely responsible for coordination/communication with other agencies/units (PD, Fire, other BLS Ambulances, ALS/Air Medical Backup) as well as dispatchers during any response. While responding in this capacity, I also act as Primary Care Provider for patients during tour-of-duty and in this capacity am solely responsible for planning and executing patient care plan. Responsible for dictating and coordinating crews actions. While responding in this capacity, Operations Guidelines also designate me as Incident Commander on routine EMS responses, EMS Branch Commander for major events falling under my agency’s jurisdiction, and single resource leader at major events otherwise. Upon my initial probational appointment to this rank as "Training Crew Chief," I entered a field training period in which my actions and decisions as supervisor were closely reviewed for a period of time before fully qualifying.
April 2016 - Present
Ambulance Attendant (EMT) at Township of Washington Ambulance Corps
Here I currently serve as an ambulance attendant responding as a member of a Basic Life Support ambulance crew to 911 emergencies in the Township and our Mutual-Aid service area. The calls I respond to often range from simple malaise, illnesses, and transports to difficulty breathing, injuries, bone fractures, motor vehicle accidents, elderly falls, MedEvac calls, and even STEMI (Heart Attack) and CPR-in-Progress calls. Regardless of the nature of the call, I assist with assessing the patient, taking vitals, gathering pertinent information, administering various interventions (splinting, epi-pen, packaging, etc). I am a well-respected member of this team known by those who know me well as a dedicated, proactive team player who shows a lot of potential for success in EMS and healthcare. My technical knowledge and critical thinking abilities are known to be solid, and when I can I am also often the one stepping up to make sure open slots are filled and that the ambulance stays in service when it is supposed to.
