It has always been a dream of mine to become an elementary school teacher! I want to teach kindergarten through second grade. I will graduate with my MED in spring 2021 as I complete the accelerated 5-year Master's Program and earn my Master's Degree in Elementary Education. When home on breaks, I work as a substitute teacher in the elementary schools in Concord as well as for the Title I summer program. In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching sports (soccer, volleyball, track and field, and hockey), singing and playing my viola, spending quality time with my friends and family (and my pets), and attending various events and student org activities on campus! I am part of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Community Group, and I am on the Executive Board for Teachers of Tomorrow! I also love playing various intramural sports, doing community service, and hanging out with my friends!

UNH Community Group is a group of men and women from a local church, New Frontiers Church, who meet on campus. We meet on campus so we can develop friendships with various students and love our campus well. ServeUp (Mission Trip with InterVarsity)

Every spring break, we take a bus down to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and do mission work (cleaning, flooring, dry walling, painting, etc.) to help the citizens of Baton Rouge recover from the August 2016 floods. We get to bond as a group, learn about the southern culture, and share our love and services with those who need it.

Intramural sports have three seasons throughout the year, playing weekly games that lead up to playoff games. I have played on many teams including outdoor and indoor soccer, floor hockey, and volleyball. I have been the captain of a volleyball team for two seasons.

Assistant Teacher at Concord School District

I am an Assistant Teacher for the Owl Camp, which is a summer school program provided by Title 1 for elementary students to gain additional practice in math, reading, writing, and STEM.

Intern at Child Study and Development Center

I was a student intern through various classes in major at UNH, specifically HDFS 635 and HDFS 709. I spent my time helping the lead teachers in the classroom throughout the day, implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, building relationships with children, developing techniques for classroom management, and overall learning how to become an early childhood educator. I spent 5 hours a week in the Nursery 2 program each week during the spring 2018 semester, and I spent 10 hours a week in the Preschool 1 program each week during the fall 2018 semester. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the CSDC and learned a lot about myself as a future teacher from these experiences.
