Work Experience

Trainers Assistant, Camp Counselor at Sunflower Farms L.L.C.

As a trainer's assistant, I did anything the trainer needed help with. Examples include tacking up horses, aiding lesson students in getting ready for their lessons, wrapping, and administering medications for all horses on the medication board. (The barn had over 150 horses on site) As a camp counselor, I was in charge of a lesson camp that ran 8 sessions from June to August. Each session was 5 days a week from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Children participating in the camp learned a wide range of skills from basic horse care, how to wrap legs, different types of feed, horse breeds, and tack, and were given a riding lesson each day.

Receptionist and Kennel Staff at T.O.P.S. Kennels

Managed the office and performed business duties. Scheduled lessons and boarding reservations for clients, as well as answering phones calls and questions. In the kennels, I administered a wide variety of medications and prepared meals for the dogs staying with us.
