Karlee Farrar
Hello! My name is Karlee Farrar and I am 25 years old. I grew up in New Tripoli, PA and graduated in 2011 from Northwestern Lehigh High School. I went to Eastern University for my four years of undergrad where I studied Middle Level Education, with a concentration in Math and Social Studies. In addition, I minored in Special Education. I graduated from Eastern in 2015 and began working in Lopatcong School District as a paraprofessional. In December 2015, I resigned from my position after being offered a Long Term Substitute position as a Middle School Math teacher in the Bethlehem Area School District. I remained in this position from December 2015 to June 2016. In August 2016, I accepted a contractual position with Bethlehem Area School District as an Elementary Gifted and Learning Support Teacher. This is my current position, and my passion. I absolutely love being with elementary level kids, and in my position I have the opportunity to service children who are Kindergarten - Fifth grade students. I finished my M. Ed. in Special Education in December 2018 and received my degree from Lehigh University.
I decided I wanted to further my education, and chose to apply to the M. Ed in Educaitonal Leadership program. I began this program in January 2019, and am looking forward to continue learning and utilizing my education to enhance educational opportunities for all students.
I got married in September 2017 to my wonderful husband, Chris. We met at Eastern in 2013. We currently live in Nazareth with our two fur babies Bentley and Piper. In our free time we enjoy traveling (our favorite places are OCNJ and Disney World) and spending time with our families.
I am an active yogi, and practice yoga at several studios in the Lehigh Valley. I also love wine and food! I enjoy reading, taking my pups on walks, spending time with family, yoga, shopping (if I wasn't a teacher I would have loved a career in fashion), and trying new restaurants. I would consider myself a "social butterfly" and I am an active member of Junior League of the Lehigh Valley which is a women's volunteer group which focuses on Pre-Kindergarten students and servicing their families/schools/communities.
