Kar Shin Lin

Kar Shin is currently a student at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a recent graduate of the Center for Advanced Studies at Wheeler Magnet High School with experience in computer science and scientific research. Kar Shin's focus at Wheeler mainly dealt with many STEM related subjects including chemistry, biology, computer science, and physics. In addition, he applied his computer science knowledge at a full-time internship at Georgia Tech Research Institute developing a website through JavaScript, C#, and SQL. Also in 2015, he held a part-time internship at Georgia Institute of Technology at the Center for the Study of Systems Biology, creating a website for researchers. His interests range from technology to scientific research, proficient in Java, JavaScript, C#, HTML, and SQL. With these skills, as well as scientific research experience from the Center for Advanced Studies, he is able to work in many different settings. Among these include scientific research laboratories and software development firms. Colleagues, peers, and instructors with whom he has worked agree he is hard-working and determined to accomplish both short-term tasks and long-term goals.
