Kasondra Allen

After completing my A.S. in Business Administration from Rochester Community & Technical College I was eager to join the workforce. I always knew I would go back to school, but was not exactly sure what I wanted to specialize in and decided to gain some working knowledge. I worked at a small accounting firm for a short period of time and thoroughly enjoyed it! I gained great knowledge and mentorship from the firm owner's. I worked at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN from 2006-2015 in a few different roles, the longest being an Operations Associate on the Travel Management team for 5 years. This position allowed me to gain much knowledge in travel related expenditures, expense reimbursement, auditing, system & IT database knowledge, and noncompliance review. In July of 2015 I transferred to Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester, MN and am the Continuing Medicine Education Coordinator/Program Manager. I ensure that all CME related topics are in compliance and our program is accredited as well as monitor all expenses and program budgeting. I returned to school to complete my Bachelor's degree briefly in 2011-2012 through Cardinal Stritch University, unfortunately due to some family tragedies and un-expectancies as well as the program not fulfilling my needs, I put a hold on school again to search for the school and program to best fulfill my needs. I started with the University of Minnesota - Crookston Spring semester 2015. I will be graduating in December 2016 with my B.S. in Finance and minors in Accounting and Management. My goals following graduation are to obtain a job in the financial/accounting industry and put my experience and education to work! Outside of school and working, I have 2 beautiful daughters who are the light of my life. Halle is 7 and Quinn is 2. We love to play outside, color, do our hair and nails, and watch movies with popcorn and snuggles! I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends and creating life long memories. My family and friends have been a wonderful and encouraging support system while I finish obtaining my education goals and pursue my career goals
