Kathryn Ambroze

Enthusiastic. Organized. Driven. As a neuroscience major, I have exemplified these characteristics while gaining a deep appreciation of how the brain functions. My work within a learning and memory research lab has granted me the opportunity to engage with both human and animal participants to examine behavioral trends during stressful triggers. I designed an eportfolio, read interdisciplinary literature, and developed an experiment to promote alternative methods of therapy for survivors of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Such intricacies are analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data. Skills honed within the lab are further developed outside of it during my work in customer service. Through academic and personal experience, I have learned how to facilitate conversation, reduce stress, and create an overall positive experience for those involved. Furthermore, these skills have extended to events that I have coordinated for causes such as domestic violence and Operation Smile. I expanded my global perspective by enrolling in the Danish Institute of Study in Copenhagen where I worked as a digital marketing intern and was awarded the DIS Achievement of Academic Excellence Award, but also managed to try each pastry in Sankt Peders Bageri.
