Katie Gacos

My mission as a strength and conditioning coach is to build athletes to improve performance within their sport, prevent injuries, empower leaders, motivate successful habits, and develop mental strength. I am a former Division I athlete (women's rowing) who is passionate about motivating athletes to reach their individual and athletic goals. As a coach, I believe it is my job to foster an environment that encourages both personal and athletic growth, as lessons learned in sports can seamlessly translate to daily life. My work experience is diverse; however, my winding path to present day has helped me grow as an individual, student, and employee. More specifically, my detour as a paralegal taught me lessons in professionalism, effective communication, maintaining focus in high pressure situations, and working proactively rather than reactively. I thrive in collaborative environments and use every day as an opportunity to improve myself as a person and coach. When I am not coaching, I love to spend time reading (book recommendations are always welcome!), playing with my two cats, Charlie and Olive, and being outside in the sun.
