Kimberly Baskette, PHD

Dr. Kim Baskette is an Assistant Professor & Graduate Program Director in the Department of Public Health and Healthcare Leadership. She holds a MS.Ed. in Health Promotion from Virginia Tech and a PhD in Education from Old Dominion University. Kim has 20+ years experience in higher education as well as extensive experience in the field of health promotion and wellness, particularly in the planning, implementation and evaluation of public health interventions. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and President of the Virginia Public Health Association. Kim is an active member of APHA and serves as the Co-Chair of the PHEHP Learning & Professional Development committee and Co-Chair of the Public Education and Assessment on Education Board. She also serves in the community as a new member of the Junior League of Roanoke Valley and Feeding Southwest Virginia and Childrens Trust volunteer.
