Baldwin Wallace Women's Rugby Team

I founded and started this team. I wrote the charter and got this activity approved through student government. I organized practices and games with other colleges. I filled out paperwork and took care of all the behind the scenes work. I taught every girl on the team how to play the game since they had all never played before.

I started rugby as a freshman and by junior year I was Captain of the team including senior year. I also participated on a Michigan All Stars Rugby team where we traveled to Elkhart Indiana to play in a large All-Stars tournament.

Girl Scout Gold Award

I founded a community garden at my church for my Girl Scout gold award project. I got approval for the land, built raised beds, planted, weeded, watered, and harvested the garden. The produce was given to our community luncheons and our day care.

I was in charge of the register, stocking shelves, cleaning, money counting, and any other odd jobs I was asked to perform.

Day Camp Counselor at Wolf Creek YMCA

I created lesson plans for the week for children ages K-6. We implemented a summer reading program where the children read for 30 minutes a day. This camp was on a church property held outside. They had access to a large yard, a crafting shed, an obstacle course, playground, and a pond for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. We were responsible for watching, leading, and teaching these kids. We implemented lessons from Project Wild, a curriculum we were taught at several evening classes.
