Kyle Varnedoe

I'm currently a fourth year student at Georgia Tech studying Mechanical Engineering pursuing a bachelor's degree with a concentration in thermal, fluids, and energy systems. I am also planning on pursuing a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering through Georgia Tech's BS/MS program. While I've been a student, I've worked two summer internships with General Electric's Power division. My first summer focused on determining root causes of turbine failures in the North American fleet of power plants for the first summer, and my second summer was focused on improving efficiency within one of GE's tooling warehouses. There, I recovered over $1 million in stored assets that was then either resold or restocked. Although mostly only using Excel for my previous jobs, I am also competent in using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, LabView. I also can code in Matlab and VisualBasic, and can speak French at a conversational level. I am looking to obtain an internship this summer continuing to expand my skill set and apply the knowledge I've learned in my studies at Georgia Tech. Feel free to contact me.
