Hello, My name is Lance Antonio Rufino, I aspire to become a doctor specialized in neurological sciences. I had attended Bristol Community College through the "dual enrollment" program during my sophomore year of high school until I graduated from New Bedford High School. I currently attend the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth majoring in biology and minoring in biochemistry on a pre-medical track. I currently assist a graduate student in research on anti-oxidant properties in blueberries to reduce symptoms of Alzheimers patience. I work at a local pizzeria in New Bedford named "Ma Raffa's" and tutor in the Science and Engineering Center at Umass. During my summer breaks I volunteer at the VA Boston Healthcare System in Brockton doing musical therapy for dementia patients.
