Key Responsibilities: •Engage guests throughout the museum galleries; including the NASA Glenn Visitor Center, Biomedical Technology Gallery, Science Phenomenon Gallery, and Polymer Fun House (early childhood) area to serve as Exhibit Interpreters. Interact with visitors of all ages to enhance their understanding of science concepts and provide them with a memorable, fun experience. •Alternate through various galleries throughout the day and may execute repeated performances such as operating the “Bridge of Fire”, as a way to charge up our audience. •Serve as primary greeter for school groups visiting Great Lakes Science Center on field trips to instruct students of Science Center rules, organize and relocate lunch bins, distribute wristbands, and serve in way finding. •Perform hands-on engagement opportunities through Mobile Science Explorer Carts. Mobile Science Explorer Carts allow volunteers an opportunity to present a topic to a small group of guests and get them excited about what they will see throughout the museum. •Use expertise and passion to enhance the experience for guests. Move throughout the traveling exhibition gallery and interact with guests as exhibit interpreters and with hands-on activities such as Mobile Science Explorer Carts and “pocket props. Opening May 30, 2015 Beyond Rubik's Cube Seasonally, serve as Steamship William G. Mather Facilitators. A story of history, technology and innovation plus the importance of the Mather and similar ships to the development of great industries which built Cleveland and the nation.
