Brookline Recreation Summer Camp
CounselorJune 2015 - August 2015I recently completed my first summer as a camp counselor for Brookline Rec Summer Camps. Working with seven to ten year olds taught me leadership, responsibility, and how to problem solve situations more independently. While leading my group of about fifteen campers, I was in charge of navigating them from activity to activity as well as making sure everybody was safe and having a good time.
Sales AssociateMarch 2015 - July 2015Working as a sales associate in Pink Domino has required me to improve my people skills greatly. I am able to read into people: figure out what they like and don't like. Since this store targets young girls, it has helped me better my communication with both young children, as well as their older family members who may come to assist in shopping.
Artbarn Community Theater
InternSeptember 2011 - May 2015As an Intern at Artbarn Community Children's Theatre, I assisted the choreographer, music director, and director in working with the kids and running reviews on what they had learned. I did a lot of backstage work before, during, and after performances. Working at Artbarn enhanced my leadership skills, as well as expanded my experience in working with different age groups of children.
Student TeacherSeptember 2010 - June 2013As a student teacher, I did a lot of observation and working directly with the kids to complete the tasks that the teacher asked of them. I was also asked to prepare a lesson or two and lead the class.
