YearOne Peer Advisors are current RIT students who are actively engaged in campus and academic life on campus, and understand both the excitement and the trepidation that comes with the college transition. Peer Advisors are an integral part of the course and are carefully chosen; they are successful and personable undergraduates and are highly motivated to help first-year students to:
1) meet other students.
2) find new ways to anticipate and solve typical first-year problems.
3) gather information and be aware of university-sponsored academic and social activities,

New Student Orientation is a series of events, activities, and opportunities developed to assist students, both first-year and transfer, and their families in transitioning to life at RIT. As an Orientation Leader (Summer 2017, 2018, 2019) I helped a huge multitude and variety of students develop the skills to succeed in college life. It was also important to show them where to go or who to turn to for any challenges they may have in the coming year.
Supervise high school and middle school students during Explore Your Future (EYF). Which is a six-day career exploration program at Rochester Institute of Technology for college-bound deaf and hard-of-hearing high school students who will begin their junior or senior year in fall 2018. This program focuses on personal growth and career awareness for students as they begin to think about college.
Teacher's Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology's on-campus daycare. Direct supervision and interaction with infants and toddlers, resolving conflicts in positive direction, helping with provide snacks/drinks to toddlers, bottle-feeding infants, direct interaction through sensory stimulation, individual interaction and group interaction. Teaching basic functions such as washing hands and having fun while being safe and responsible.
