Lindsay Paris
My name is Lindsay Paris and I am extremely excited to be working toward a Master's in Reading! I graduated from Montclair State University in the winter of 2018 with a Bachelors in Family and Child Studies and with a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing in Elementary Education K-6. While at MSU, I was an active member of Greek life through the sorority of Sigma Delta Tau. After graduating, I worked at an elementary school in Madison, NJ with students of learning/language disabilities, which ranged from kindergarten to second grade. During the summer of 2018, I was hired for the 2018-2019 school year in Kearny, NJ as a fifth-grade teacher of math and science. This is my second year of teaching and I was moved up with my fifth graders to sixth grade. I currently teach sixth-grade math and I absolutely love it! I have been exploring different ways in order to engage my students as well as to instill deeper understanding. Within my second year, I have become a Sixth Grade Patrols facilitator and have been continuing to facilitate a Girls Who Code club. I have also just finished all requirements to apply for a Middle School Math certification.
