As an interdisciplinary artist, my work uses drawing, painting, installation, print-media and sculpture in order to comment on marginalized identities. My practice is particularly concerned with intersectionality: the ways in which race, gender, and being queer compound the visibility and vulnerability of individuals not only in terms of social justice but also in visual frameworks and media consumption. I use traditionally low-value and peripheral art materials including watercolor paints, grass stains, illustration, and recycled papers. In doing so, I attempt to challenge and renew perception, especially of the individuals, belongings, and environments designated as disposable, negligible, or absent.
