During my medical observational internship, I had the opportunity to shadow nurses across various departments, including the NICU, labor and delivery, the emergency department, and radiology. The YMCA Camp Thunderbird CIT (Counselor-in-Training) program offers aspiring leaders the chance to develop valuable skills through hands-on experience in camp activities and leadership training. Participants work alongside counselors, mentor younger campers, and gain confidence in their ability to lead, communicate, and collaborate in a supportive, outdoor environment.
