I have 25 years of progressive experience in the healthcare industry working for Cigna Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield. After layoffs from both companies, I decided it was time for me to start a new chapter in my professional life. Returning to College was my first step toward that success. My mother Deborah Thomas who is the Director of Wilmington Head Start is a proud graduate of Springfield College, and she loved her experience. My goal is to be a License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and provide Mental Health counseling within my community. Im a proud mother of two beautiful girls Saniya 14 and Sierra 12, they are the loves of my life and provides me the strength that I need to achieve. My family is everything, God and Love sustain me. Once I earn my BA in Human Service I plan to continue my education work toward my Masters in Social Work.
