Macie Brown

Macie Brown is currently a freshman at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is majoring in Accounting and plans on graduating in 2019 with her Masters in Accounting. Combining her love for math and her love for music, Macie hopes to one day work in the financial side of the country music industry. In her first semester at Belmont, Macie has gotten involved in Phi Mu Fraternity and Belmont Service Corps. She currently serves as Phi Mu's chapter Treasurer and will serve as a Towering Traditions Orientation Leader in the fall of 2017. Macie is from Bowling Green, Kentucky and graduated from Greenwood High School in 2015 with a 3.97 GPA. While in high school, she took a variety of business classes to work towards her high school diploma and many dual credit college courses. In school, she was an active member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, the Kentucky Youth Assembly, the newspaper and yearbook staffs, and the Future Business Leaders of America. Outside of school, she was involved in the Bowling Green Girls Cotillion Club, Living Hope Baptist Church youth ministry, and the Southern Kentucky Soccer League. She graduated in the top 15 in her class, and was a member of the Kentucky Governors Scholars Program. During her time in both high school and college, Macie worked at Allstate Insurance as a telemarketer, and she believes her experience in the business/insurance world will benefit her in the long run.
