sand container (GSC) structure against wave forces for inclusion in a NSF proposal.
I also operated the URI wave flume and assisted on other marine geotechnical department projects. During the internship, I operated other devices including bender elements, wave gauges, pore pressure transducers, a force load cell, and a mechanical sieve shaker.
I measured the shear wave velocity profile through Gulf of Mexico clay using less invasive lab methods, including the set up and operation of bender element transducers.
I interned with GreenWave, a non-profit "ocean farmer and fisherman-run organization dedicated to building a new blue-green economy that creates jobs, mitigates climate change and grows healthy food for local communities." I researched coastal risks and restorative species, identified current human management of coastal areas in the United States and South America, and assessed applications of restorative ocean farms for ecological services such as storm surge mitigation and habitat restoration which I compiled into a short report at the end of my internship.
Top/senior student assistant and led other student assistants, assisted the cotillion committee and main instructor, demonstrated ballroom dances, organized and assisted students in improving their ballroom dance and social skills.
